Chamber Working to Bring Economic Development Tool to Augusta

The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce is working to educate the voters of Augusta-Richmond County about an important ballot question on the November 7th ballot. The ability to use the Redevelopment Powers act will be a powerful tool for our community to spur redevelopment of our city. University Health Care System presents the 2006 Women In Business Signature Event. This year’s program is “Creating a Life of Opportunity” with guest speaker Jane Seymour. Ms. Seymour is a star of film and television, mother and author.

Greg Barton has been named the Director of the Chamber’s Masters Housing Bureau. Greg has extensive experience in the area of golf hospitality in the Augusta area. Before coming to Masters Housing Greg worked with Champions Retreat Golf Club, as well as the Augusta National Golf Club.

SRP Federal Credit Union has just opened their newest location at 2215 Tobacco Road. On hand for the event were members of The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce, Ed Tarver, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and the President of SRP Federal Credit Union to participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony.
