Local Artist
JIM GRENSHEER DISPLAYS WORKS

In an ongoing partnership with the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art, the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce is displaying the work of local artists in its second level atrium.

Currently on display are watercolors by local Augusta artist Jim Gensheer. Represented locally by the Dunlap Studio and Gallery, Gensheer uses primarily earth tones to portray stark harvest landscapes, pastoral countryside scenes and snowy rural homesteads. He has been painting professionally since 1990, and teaches watercolor workshops locally and throughout the Southeast.

2000 ECONOMIC PROFILE AVAILABLE

The 2000 edition of the Economic Profile is now available, providing one of the most extensive profiles of the Augusta-Aiken MSA. This tool is provided to companies interested in the area, allowing them to view information on area workforce, regional economy, corporate community, taxes, transportation, utilities, education and quality of life, everything needed to make an informed decision to relocate a business to the Augusta area.

The profile is also available to the public and can be purchased from the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce for $32.00 for Chamber members and $35.00 for non-members. To order your copy, call 821-1300 or stop in to the chamber during normal business hours.
