Public Relations

The Public Relations Department seeks to ensure a higher level of communication between the Chamber,
its membership, and the community.


• Presented the first Augusta Award recipient.
• Created and hosted the first annual Volunteers Appreciation Luncheon
• Created a new Membership Marketing Brochure which highlights the benefits and services of chamber membership.
• The Chamber’s Air Service Task Force worked very
closely with the Augusta Regional Airport to coordinate the “Seize the Sky” campaign.
• The Air Service Task Force helped to produce a Proposal/Opportunity Booklet to present to representatives from United and Continental Airlines during their Masters® week visit.
• Assisted with the logistical support and publicity for the Continental Challenge.
• Distributed a 30-second public service announcement to area television stations to publicize the 2001 Augusta Award.
• Published the Vision newsletter, a bi-monthly source of communication between the Chamber and its membership.
• Lead CSRA Leadership trips to Washington, D.C. and Columbia, SC to promote issues of importance to the CSRA with elected and administration officials.
